About Family and Friends

For almost 6 years we have enjoyed a whole generation of new babies who have now headed off to school; we are proud to say that Family and Friends continue to be Prescot's premier family play and party venue.

A year ago we welcomed our new lease holders, Alexandra and Michael Leonard (Alex and Mike) who along with the next generation of young guests, wasted no time finding their feet at Family and Friends.

Once teenage sweethearts, Alex and Mike have now been married for 6 years. They are Mummy and Daddy to 4 year old Roma and 9 month Myla.

For over 10 years Mike's talented craftsmanship has complimented Alex's unique design, setting the tone for their Gracie's brand and delivering bespoke character and style to Merseyside's events and occasions. Driven by their success, the couple aspired to have a venue of their own, where they combine occasion design with hosting family fun and celebrations.

Weeks of planning, a truck full of deliveries and what seemed like forever to wait; we handed over the keys to Alex and Mike on February 4th 2024; the day our big reading tree crashed to floor and the makeover began!

They started from scratch on the baby corner; gave the cafe a complete new look; updated the role play; replaced the toys; scrubbed every inch; and shampooed our cosy carpets. With character, creativeness and energy poured into the play centre, the doors opened to their 1st guests at the end of the week.

Alex and Mike forged a small team of familar, local faces, whose skills and experience compliment one another well; together, they provide a warm welcome and a touch of something special for you and your little people

We are pleased to say that after almost 5 years as a valued staff member, Mandy remains a popular face at  Family and Friends where she continues in her role with Alex and Mike.
