We have been welcoming guests to Family and Friends Play Centre for 5 years, enjoying a whole generation of new babies who have now headed off to school; we are proud to say that we continue to be Prescot's premier family play and party venue.
As the next generation of little people find their feet at Family and Friends, we are very happy to have started 2024 with our own new arrivals, lease hold managers, Alexandra and Michael Leonard (Alex and Mike).
Making Family and Friends their home, Alex and Mike have created a fresh, welcoming space to begin to building their family hub. Key changes include
a refurbished Village; a brand new baby corner; and updates to our role play.
Subtle changes to improve guest experience will be ongoing. Already you will notice, the introduction of a new menu in the Village Cafe; the addition of child sized party tables and chairs; and the enhancement of children's party packages and additional party slots.
Alex and Mike opened to the public on the first day of February half term, Stay to Play sessions were booked out; spaces for 2 Valentine's Parties all sold; and the Village Cafe , was full every day. Guests, new and old, loved the updated Family and Friends.

Alex and Mike have been together 15 years, married almost 6 years. They are Mummy and Daddy to 4 year old Roma, new baby Myla and Furbaby, Blue.
The couple have worked extensively, bringing character and style to Merseyside's events and occasions; Mike's talented craftsmanship complimenting Alex's bespoke designs by Gracie's. However with Gracie's' success came demanding hours, incompatible with family life; they aspired to have a venue of their own, to provide a full package of safe, family fun and celebrations, during family friendly hours!
On a dark November night, as the rest of the family trundled through Manchester Airport, Alex bounced through the halls, her mind filled with ideas, because before even collecting their luggage, they had that venue!
Not much escaping a little girl's ears, true to form, Roma trotted off to nursery that week, excitedly telling her teacher "Father Christmas is bringing me a park!"
Eager to get started; Alex familarised herself with the kitchen, the customers and the routine at Family and Friends. New year also brought daily parcel deliveries and the happy news that Alex and Mike would soon be receiving an extra special delivery in 2024, a baby brother or sister for Roma.
Our big reading tree crashed to the floor; the cafe underwent a full makeover, the role play areas were updated; the toys replaced; every inch scrubbed and cleaned; our cosy carpets shampooed. In just 6 days Alex and Mike poured character, creativeness and energy into the play centre as they prepared to welcome their first guests.
Switching off the lights in the early hours of Saturday, Alex and Mike were back by morning to ready for their first children's party ; an opening party for their own family and friends; party number 3 on Sunday; and opening day on Monday!
